So this weeks article, as always, was prompted by an actual experience in my own life and a seemingly brutal one at that.
Have you ever been dealt a hand that not only removed you from the game, but wiped you out completely? Knocked you out your chair and left you squirming on the ground. Or so you thought. A game you imagined was fun. A game you participated in with the hope of winning, with the hope of victory. Here is the thing, if you got taken out the game you weren’t meant to win, and you most certainly were no longer meant to be a participant.
Maybe the game was an experience to teach you. Have you ever considered that maybe the game was being played with frauds? Maybe the game was hosted by cowards and liars.
You can only see this when you are out the game. When you’re in it, you’re in it to win it without realizing that this game can’t be won by you. It’s futile because it is rigged.
So, you get removed from the game. Out of your control, so determined to win and BOOM, you’re out. Man down. Loss.
You feel defeated and hopeless but notice as a spectator now that there is something not savory about this game. Something you never would have observed had you been it. You realize that you don’t want to participate in this game anymore because it actually isn’t an honest game, it’s an illusion of truth.
Sometimes in life we are dealt blows that affect our worth, our confidence and our emotional wellbeing as a result. In these times we have 2 choices. We can look closely at the situation and ponder if we really lost, or we find the gift. There is ALWAYS a gift. We can walk around feeling broken or we can use the game to teach us. Were we actually protected?
We can allow a dirty game to tarnish us, or we can play a different game.
Trust in the process. Sometimes what looks like defeat is in fact winning. Sometimes you must lose to win. Sometimes the best thing you can do is surrender, move on, learn the lessons, and walk away.
TRUST, FIND THE GIFT, USE IT.
